What people don't understand is that you have to work with what's cheap in
YOUR community, not following exact recipes. These guys are suggesting that
you be creative with what's cheap for you, and make something fabulous out
of cheap eats (leftovers) and 1 or 2 special purchases, like a good cheese
or some jarred sauce, or fancy bread. Nothing over the top, and nothing
that should cost you over $4 dollars. I like to splurge every so often, but
my usual staple foods only cost me $25 a week for 1 person. Eggs, tomatoes,
sausage, pasta/rice, tortillas, a pack of cheese or two if they're a good
price, the cheapest seasonal veg (spinach is a go-to, onion, potato, etc),
