  • She reminds me of my great grandmother Mary Baker. She was in her 90's and still cared for her own garden, canned, made her own laundry soap, dish soap, picked her own apples and pears off her own trees....I miss her. When I was 12 she said she was not going to do her garden that year cuz she was tired, she passed in her sleep. - ciennagirl53

  • Indeed a wonderful woman! My late dad was born in 1913 and he shared many stories about the depression. He made it to 90. It's absolutely amazing how some people lived to be so old after scratching to survive for so long. I guess if you survived the depression, you could survive almost anything. Gramma Clara will truly be missed but she deserves to be dancing with the angels. I'm glad I stumbled on to this video and will subscribe. I hope people learn something from her because you never know when this Country will stumble at the rate it's running. God Bless Gramma Clara nd Family! - Gee Dubb

  • I believe westeners, and especially americans should consider reducing their consumption in everything. The materialistic approach we have lived for the past 300 years have not brought us any good. What is important is a good health system, a judiciary system that works, good functioning states with great services. AND SO EXCESSIVE FALSE wealth! Give money according to effort, not according to some silly criteria. Have a healthy life Mrs. Clara - zara Neumann
  • You are awesome, I love your stories! - PhysistRS
  • may her soul rest in peace. - Remy Basi
  • poor man? potatoes only with some condiment maybe a poor kitchen representation, oil, onion, sauce and hot dog meat is a frugal meal more or less complete in nutrients and calories not a poor meal. Comestible herbs based plates, pasta aglio&olio, Genoese pesto is a poor plate, potatoes with local wild herbs as condiment could be, rice&potatoes&parsley soup, polenta (90%based on corn flour), or some basic bread's recipes reinforced with potatoes... and plates based on wild vegetables you easily can get for free like chestnut as main caloric ingredient, or beans as main protein source are truely poor meals. This is a frugal meal, perhaps cheap but definitely not poor at all. - Rich Goldstone
  • Ms. Clara you are a GOD piece of work, awesome GOD BLESS! - IAMAQUEEN
