  • Always buy melon on holiday! Such a refreshing hydrating snack!i just got back from Majorca and we opted out of doing the hotel breakfast so just picked up natural yogurt, bananas and nuts from the local supermarket to keep in the room for breakfast and was perfect start to day! Much better than stuffing your face at hotel buffet breakfast with pastries and pancakes. Do you out for dinner in France too? Xxx - Lottie Murphy
  • This is a silly observation on my part, but based on what you've shown us, the food packaging design in France seems to look more interesting & "healthy" than over here in the US! - elmooko69
  • No, I made a mistake with butter beans. What we call butter beans in France are basically green beans but yellow. I saw some fresh ones last week in Fortman and Mason but they were mouldy :( in France you can get them fresh or in tins. They're so good. - happyatthirty

  • Hi, just a quick information, the yoghurt that you bought was actually a sort of cream cheese ( translation: cheese white), yoghurt is called yaourt in Frensh. Altrough both are delicious as a meal. - tivolaa
  • Sans conservateur means without preservative so it's still quite good. The yogurt indeed translates as "white cheese" but it is basically a thick yogurt. I personally use it as yogurt rather than cream cheese. The chicken was actually turkey :) When I go back home (I'm French but living in England), I always bring back some compotes. My favs are Apple & pear. I also bring back some tinned veg I can't find here like diced beetroot or butter beans. Where about did you go in France? - happyatthirty
