PANDA DRUMER - veloz96
Nice drumming. Just a piece of advice : You should buy a cowbell in order
to have a sound more "afro-cuban" or use rimshots on toms. I find
afro-cubans rythms with a cymbal kinda weird. Cheers. - Stareplue
hey man nice groove. Ya the afro-cuban grooves you were playing were not
"authentic" but neither were most back in the Gillespie era with that kinda
quaze latin feel mixing the Mambo bell and cascara patterns together which
are very solid. But with the Brazilian grooves I thought you kept it pretty
traditional with your grooves and especially with the emphasis on beat 2
emulating the surdo part and adding some funky partido alto parts. good
stuff!! a little rough on your fill on 1:37 though. - Kevin Arndt
nice man awesome video - jamesdrum77

@Stareplue I already have cowbells. I don't always use them though. Btw you
can play cascara patterns on the bell of cymbals. Check out my newer videos. - Reese Williams
sounds really clean, great grooves - aoppeneer
Like how you got that tom resting just above that snare. Rightous, man. - thee refuge
none of this sounds Afro-Cuban or Brazilian to me. It is just another
bastardization of our rhythms by American drummers that do not truly know
anything about the details of our music. if i go to a jam session this is
the kind of feces they play. any drummer that wants to learn to play our
ritmos on drum kit need to go learn congas (Cuba) and pandeiro (Brazil)
first or leave both alone. - congapracticetracks
Sounds good! look into the book Afro Cuban Rhythms For Drumset , it will
open the whole world up!.......ps that snare is Killin! - Lonnell Lewis
